OIW RETURNS! MARCH 10th @ The Old Queens Head (London) kids!

Flyer - March 10th

We’re not dead!! The lack of any Oh, Inverted World in February has caused some of you to express your concerns that we might well be deading, but you’ll be pleased to hear that we’ve just been holidaying across the seas, but are now back in London town and ready for an O,IW style partieeee.

March 10th is The Date and The Old Queens Head is The Place. Come come, there will be good tunes and people. Here’s the Facebook invite to RSVP… http://tinyurl.com/btn7j9

Topping the bill is Louis Barabbas (www.myspace.com/louisbarabbas)
An extraordinary performer from Manchester. We guarantee you ain’t seen anything like this fella before. A multi-instrumentalist, multi-disciplined, crazed performer. Louis is pretty much diametrically opposed to your average singer-songwriter. Prepare to be very impressed indeed.

Aaron King (www.myspace.com/aaronkingmusic)
Brighton based five-piece Aaron King write beautifully touching, lo-fi piano led tunes, inspired by some quite good people like Elliot Smith and Nick Drake. The band have just released their debut EP ‘The Granary’ and are set to make waves into 2009. Yes, yes. Oh, and Tommy from the band makes really good tea.

Anna Calvi (www.myspace.com/annacalvi)
Having previously been in band Cheap Hotel where she toured with the likes of Mr Hudson, Pigeon Detectives, and Acoustic Ladyland; Anna Calvi is now out on her own and is bloody good. Anna has recently played shows with Golden Silvers, Laurel Collective, The Invisible, the Dogs and had a show on Diesel U Radio and we’re stoked to have her play on the Oh, Inverted World stage.

Lail Arad (www.myspace.com/lailarad)
Opening the show for us we have London based singer-songwriter Lail Arad. Describing her music, Time Out have said “Charismatic songwriter who somehow straddles the ouevres of Martha Wainwright and Kimya Dawson headlines with her sparky melodies and lyrics full of warm wit and wry domesticity.” – Nice.

See ye on the 10th.
