Oh, Inverted World this month!

APRIL 14TH @ THE OLD QUEENS HEAD: Rod Thomas, Thee Single Spy, Jamie N. Commons
(Join the new OIW Facebook page for invites to all our events here!)

Who we got ? We got talent is what we got. Headlining for us on April 14th will be Welsh musical machine Rod Thomas. Describing himself as an ‘acoustic disco’, Rod is one man who writes seriously good lo-fi electro tunes. YUM!

Second on the bill is the baroque-indie wonderment of Thee Single Spy. This seven-man band, who write clarinet and organ fuelled tunes, sound like they’re from a different time, but in a good way. Drawing comparisons with Tom Waits, Arcade Fire, Smog, Bright Eyes and Beirut, once the spirit of older, cracklier times and rhymes, they now play rock music.

Opening is 20-year old singer-songwriter Jamie N. Commons. Jamie’s tunes are all rather beautiful and we’re pretty darn stoked to have him in attendance.
