SEPTEMBER 16TH – OLD QUEENS HEAD – SPECIAL SECRET GUESTS + LES CADETS + IVAN INK AND PEN + TOBY PELLOW

H! INVERTED WORLD has a bit of a special one coming up for you on September 16th. The headliners we can’t yet announce; this is because they’re so amazing and special and wonderful that announcing them now will just be too much for some people and our insurance just can’t take the public health risk. BUT trust us that these LADIES (clue there) will be brilliant.

Also on the bill are brand new indie-pop three-piece Les Cadets. These guys from middle England, as their myspace informs me, have been personally picked by Darwin Deez as support for his UK tour, which is frankly Very Cool. From what we’ve heard from these guys so far we’re pretty damn excited about seeing them on the O!IW stage. Definitely young ones to watch.

Returning to O!IW for the second time is the rather wonderful Ivan Ink & Pen, aka South London misfit with musical bones Oliver Briggs. His new playful and inventive EP ‘Ivan Ink ‘n’ Isa’ is the product of Briggs’s longstanding collaborations with Isabella Summers of Florence and the Machine fame. Ivan Ink ‘n’ Isa is the first of many releases on Briggs’s newfound autonomous label Brink.

Opening for us is a guy called Toby Pellow who we’ve been meaning to have play for us for a while now. A wistful young singer-songwriter who recently played Glastonbury and had one of his tracks synced on a Sony advert, this dude makes just the right kinda indie-folky-alt stuff that might just melt a little bit of your heart. You wimp.

If that’s not enough, we have Mr Dave Depares and Pirates in Love spinning you tunes for you until the wee hours.

HELLZ YEAH. More info HERE!
